Collaborations are celebrations; especially when two powerhouse entities come together to create magic. It’s something about the deliciousness of Girl Scouts cookies that drive people insane. Once a year, our tastes buds get to party and revel in the delight of Girl Scouts cookie season. Well, your taste buds just got a major gift because for the first time ever, Dunkin Donuts just meshed with Girl Scouts of USA and introduced three Girl Scout cookie flavors to their franchise.
On February 23, 2018, Dunkin Donuts announced the partnership via a Facebook Live event. The announcement was strategically made during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend 2018 (February 23-February 25). The three flavors, Girl Scouts Coconut Caramel Swirl, Girl Scouts Peanut Butter Cookie Swirl, and Girl Scouts Thin Mints Swirl became available February 26, 2018, at participating locations, and the special collaboration will run through the end of May. The flavors will be available for hot coffee, iced coffee, lattes, macchiatos, frozen coffee, and frozen chocolate. The collaboration between Dunkin Donuts and Girls Scouts of USA will promote the entrepreneurial spirit of the Girl Scouts members by allowing and encouraging Girl Scouts to sell their cookies at participating Dunkin Donut locations throughout the country during the weekends of February 24 – March 18. Chief Revenue Officer of Girl Scouts USA, Barry Horowitz, best sums of the collaboration. “Not only do girls learn important business and entrepreneurial skills, but they put their earnings toward impactful community projects and leadership experiences—so we are grateful to Dunkin’ Donuts for opening up their restaurants around the country to our cookie entrepreneurs!”
